HOT TUNA BLUES

  • March 3, 2011, Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

No ticket required

Blues, jazz and bluegrass combine in a concert featuring Hot Tuna, with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady; blues icon Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica and guitar; and two-time Grammy® winner Jim Lauderdale. The Kaukonen-Casady duo created much of the signature sound of the Jefferson Airplane, and they have toured and recorded together as Hot Tuna for more than 40 years. Musselwhite has been called “the world’s greatest living blues harmonica player”; he is revered in both blues and jazz circles. Lauderdale is one of the premier Americana and bluegrass artists in music today. Hot Tuna anchors the program with both their acoustic and electric blues – joined throughout by Musselwhite and Lauderdale. It will be an extraordinary evening of quintessentially American music!

Introduction to the Performance, 6:45 pm:  Monte Lorts, Talent Buyer, Ozarks Music Fest
