In this decidedly modern twist on the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty, storyteller David Gonzalez uses rhymes inspired by Dr. Seuss, music inspired by the Bach Goldberg Variations, and groovy projected images to create a world in which the sleeping princess is not passive, but is very present in the story. She is strong willed and independent, determined, fierce and smart – and she has more to do than just lie down and wait for her prince.

Kids watching the show will discover that there’s more than one side to this story. They are invited to use their imaginations to complete the tale, and find out whether the princess is awakened by true love’s kiss – or not!
