The Performance Society

The Performance Society supports the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. Like most arts organizations, the Hall relies on external support from individuals and businesses. Funds paid by The Performance Society help pay the cost of presenting the artists who appear at the Hall; help provide master classes, seminars and residency activities; and help with the operational costs associated with the Hall.

When you become a member of The Performance Society, your contribution is recognized throughout the season with special mention in the Hall's season program, as well as through the Missouri State University Foundation. Higher level donors receive additional benefits, including vouchers to exchange for tickets, advance notification of performances and invitations to special receptions.

Contributions to The Performance Society help keep ticket prices at a reasonable level — many times, prices charged for cultural events do not cover even half the artists' fees and expenses. Gifts are fully tax deductible, minus the benefits at each level. All donors receive a letter at the end of each calendar year noting the exact amount of their gift that is tax deductible. Your generous gift allows the Hall to attract quality artists who will enrich the lives of the students at Missouri State, as well as citizens throughout the community.
