Student Employment at Juanita K. Hammons Hall

Juanita K. Hammons Hall employs over 100 Missouri State University students who work in a variety of departments around our facilty. Working at Hammons Hall provides students with invaluable real-world experience, offering hands-on opportunities to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting. From assisting in event coordination and front-of-house operations to contributing to marketing and technical support, our student employees gain practical skills and insights that are essential for their future careers.

CURRENT POSITIONS AVAILABLE

BACKSTAGE SUPPORT STAFF

Responsibilities include assisting with load-ins and load-outs, setting up equipment, and providing basic technical support for the venue. Under the guidance of our technical directors, this position helps ensure smooth and efficient performances while gaining hands-on experience in the technical aspects of live productions.

BOX OFFICE ASSOCIATE

Assist with ticket sales for multiple events across campus including athletics, concerts, and Broadway shows. Associates work with patrons in-person and over the phone to help with sales, exchanges, and answer general questions they may have.

CUSTODIAN

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing public areas, restrooms, and backstage spaces, as well as handling waste disposal and basic maintenance tasks.

ASSISTANT HOUSE MANAGER

Assist with front-of-house operations during performances and events at Juanita K. Hammons Hall. House Managers work with volunteer ushers to ensure a welcoming and organized patron experience, oversee audience seating and safety, and serve as the main point of contact for patrons in the lobby and auditorium.
